    DLMPAC approves 4 minor minerals mining plans in Doda.

    Doda, September 21: District Development Commissioner Doda Vishesh Mahajan today chaired an important meeting of District Level Mining Plan Aproval Committee (DLMPAC) which approved four mining plans in the district. During the meeting, threadbare discussions were held regarding mining on scientific patterns.

    Plans of minig minerals approved today included; Chenab River near village Jangalwar, Tehsil Phagsoo, District Doda, Minor Mineral Block Doda; Chenab River near Village – Kandoth, Tehsil Thathri, District Doda, Minor Mineral RBM Block Doda; Left bank of River Chenab Located at Tehsil Mohalla, District Doda & Minor Mineral Block Doda ; and Right bank of River Chenab located at Tehsil Mohalla & District Doda.

    The mineral blocks were earlier e-auctioned by a designated committee under the chairmanship of DDC Doda. After approval, the Project Proponents shall seek environmental clearance (EC) and Consent to Operate (CTO) before generating lease in favour of Project Proponents.

    The legal extraction of Minor Minerals shall make available the mineral material to the executing agencies/ departments and the general public, besides restraining illegal mining activities.

    Speaking on the occasion, DDC stressed upon all committee members that it shall be ensured that extraction of minerals is done without disturbing the ecology as per the already laid down guidelines.

    The meeting was attended by SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom, ADDC Doda Pran Singh, CPO Doda Suresh Kumar, Dy Director, Geology and Mining Dr Raj Kumar, Ex. Engineers of I&FC, besides other concerned officers and officials.
