
DC Ramban Constitutes Committee to Assess Damage Post Wind/Hailstorm and Flash Floods in Ramban
The Deputy Commissioner Ramban, who also chairs the District Disaster Management Authority Ramban, has ordered the constitution of a committee to assess the damage caused by the torrential rainfall, wind and hailstorm, and flash floods on April 19 and April 20 in the Ramban district.

The committee consists of officers headed by Tehsildars, followed by the concerned Block Development Officer, Zonal Education Officer, AEE Jal Shakti/PWD/PMGSY/JPDCL, Veterinary Assistant Surgeon, AEO, HDO, and Naib Tehsildars.

The committee will oversee and assess the loss of private property, livestock, crops, and evaluate the damage caused to infrastructure by the incessant rainfall/flash floods.
The committee has been further directed to submit a detailed report on a daily basis from the date the order was issued.
The heavy rainfall and flash floods triggered a havoc-like situation in Ramban, leading to a few deaths and an expected loss of millions in property.
