
DC Poonch Conducts on-site inspection of Water Schemes in District
POONCH, FEBRUARY 12: In a proactive move to address water scarcity in the district, Deputy, Commissioner Poonch Vikas Kundal conducted a comprehensive inspection of the water Schemes today.
Accompanied by Superintendent Engineer, Mohammad Taj Choudhary, Executive Engineer Rajeev Ghai, besides AEE, JE and other concerned officers, the Deputy Commissioner visited key water schemes including Dingla and Chaktroo.

During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner engaged with local residents to understand their water-related concerns. He emphasized the importance of efficient functioning and proper maintenance of the installation to prevent shortage.

In a directive to ensure timely action, the Deputy Commissioner directed the SE to conduct a detailed review of the schemes with the Junior Engineers, to ensure effective implementation.
Furthermore, he mandated the Xen to make the Dingla and Chaktroo water schemes operational within 10 days.
