Doda::In an interview with Local News Agency , Deputy Commissioner of Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav (IAS), detailed several groundbreaking initiatives aimed at enhancing education, healthcare, tourism, and the overall economy of Kishtwar.
“Hello Kishtwar”: Bridging the Gap Between Administration and People
Dr. Yadav introduced “Hello Kishtwar,” a new initiative designed to listen to and address the grievances of Kishtwar’s residents. This platform aims to foster direct communication between the administration and the public, ensuring that community concerns are swiftly addressed.
Education: Recognized with Prestigious SKOCH Award
The administration’s efforts in education, particularly the “Back to School” initiative aimed at reintegrating dropout students, has earned Dr. Yadav the prestigious SKOCH Award. This program ensures that students who had left school are brought back into the education system to receive quality education, significantly improving their future prospects.
Healthcare: Expanding Reach with “Doctor Apke Gaun”
Healthcare services are being extended to the remotest parts of Kishtwar through the “Doctor Apke Gaun” initiative. This program aims to provide essential medical services to far-flung areas, ensuring that all residents have access to necessary healthcare.
Tourism: Boosting Local Economy Through Festivals
To stimulate tourism, the administration is organizing the Warwan and Sinthantop festivals. In a move to boost the local economy, tenders for these festivals will now be awarded to local contractors, generating jobs and supporting local businesses.
Infrastructure: Enhanced Electricity Supply
Highlighting infrastructure improvements, Dr. Yadav announced that Kishtwar residents now benefit from 18 hours of electricity daily. This significant development enhances the quality of life and supports economic activities in the region.
Sports: Promoting Local Talent and Infrastructure
Kishtwar is making strides in sports with the construction of a new stadium and a state-of-the-art futsal court with international standards at GDC Kishtwar. These facilities aim to nurture local talent and provide venues for community engagement and physical fitness.
Entertainment: Nurturing Local Talent with “Kishtwar Idol”
The administration is also focusing on entertainment and cultural development by launching the “Kishtwar Idol” singing talent hunt competition, modeled after Indian Idol. Additionally, a musical club is being established where enthusiasts can learn and practice music, fostering local talent.
