
DC Doda pays a surprise visit at Premnagar and Thathri; Suspends two health officials for unauthorised absence
DODA OCTOBER 18:
District Development Commissioner (DDC) Vishesh Mahajan paid surprise visit at Premnagar and Thathri in Doda and review the functioning and services delivery in government offices along with inspection of the Doda-Kishtwar highway, and newly auctioned mining blocks. During the inspection, the DDC took strict action against two health employees at the PHC Premnagar for being absent unauthorisedly during office hours and asked the CMO Doda to suspend them and initiate enquiry immediately.
Furthermore, the DDC conducted an inspection of ongoing work on the Doda-Kishtwar stretch of national highway project and urged the executing agency NHIDCL to expedite the work, ensuring quality to provide better transport infrastructure to the people of twin districts, Doda and Kishtwar, besides to the commuters using it as alternate route for Jammu-Srinagar highway.DDC also visited the mining sites to ensure the minerals are extracted as per the norms and terms and conditions laid down in the agreement.
He has instructed the department to keep an eye on illegal mining activities, besides ensuring the water bodies don’t get polluted and natural vegetation and fauna remain undisturbed.In addition to this, DDC also visited the tehsil office complex and BMO office complex at Thathri to check attendance and to ensure the departments are functioning properly for public services.
This move highlights the commitment of the district administration to maintain law and order, prevent any illegal activities, and provide efficient and effective services to the public. DDC Doda Vishesh Mahajan’s visit also serves as a reminder to government officials and employees to fulfil their legitimate duties diligently and responsibly. It also reassures the public that their concerns are being addressed and that the district administration is actively working towards their welfare and development.
