CS Atal-Dulloo Engages Stakeholders, Tackles Key Industry Issues in J-k
At a session held today, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo chaired a meeting with delegates and participants from diverse Trade Bodies and Industry Associations in Jammu and Kashmir.
The gathering included the presence of Principal Secretary Finance, Commissioner Secretary Industries & Commerce, and Divisional Commissioner Jammu, along with MDs of JKTPO, Handloom & Handicrafts, SIDCO, SICOP, AGRO, and other key stakeholders.
Throughout the interaction, heads and representatives from various Trade Bodies and industry associations presented a range of issues to the Chief Secretary.
The discussions covered topics such as the extension of lease deeds, validity period extensions, GST revision, power amnesty, turnover incentives, promotion of tourist spots in Jammu Division, incentives for local industries, consistent power supply, timely disposal of NoCs, development of infrastructure in Industrial Estates, incentives for handicraft sectors with a focus on export, skill development, and the full operationalization of the single Window mechanism.

The deliberations also delved into pending environmental clearances for mining and the establishment of a project clearance committee. Representatives offered valuable suggestions and proposed measures to address the challenges faced by the industry and trade in the Union Territory.
Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo attentively addressed the concerns raised during the interaction, assuring the delegations and representatives that all discussed matters would be promptly addressed within a time-bound framework.
Expressing gratitude for the valuable inputs, he conveyed optimism that the interaction would serve as a constructive platform to resolve issues and overcome hurdles faced by trade and industry stakeholders.
