The annual Shri Vasuki Naag Kailash Yatra-2023, organized by the J&K Dharmarth Trust, successfully concluded. The Yatra included various rituals and ceremonies performed at the revered Shri Vasuki Naag Mandir in Gatha, Bhaderwah.

- Ceremonial Puja and Rituals: The Yatra commenced with a ceremonial Puja and other rituals, including offering ‘Halwa Bhog’ to Shri Vasuki Naag Ji Maharaj and the presentation of Pagris to Chelas. These rituals were performed by Ashok Sharma, the Secretary of Dharmarth Trust.
- Holy Mace Rituals: The Holy Mace rituals were performed in a traditional manner as part of the Yatra’s commencement on September 11, 2023.
- Contribution of Bajantris: Traditional folk musicians known as ‘Bajantris’ from Bhaderwah played a significant role in enhancing the Yatra’s spiritual experience. Their melodious tunes resonated through the picturesque landscapes.
- Efforts of District Administration: The success of the Yatra was attributed to the cooperation and support of the District Administration of Doda. They provided essential necessities such as food, water, and electricity at Kailash Kund, located at an altitude of 14,500 feet, ensuring the well-being of all participants.
- Vision for the Yatra: Ashok Sharma, the Secretary of Dharmarth Trust, expressed his vision for the Kailash Yatra. He emphasized the need to upgrade and promote this Yatra to the national level, similar to Amarnath and Kedarnath Yatras, to showcase the cultural heritage of Bhaderwah.
- Promoting Brotherhood and Secularism: The Yatra symbolizes a sense of brotherhood, secularism, and compassion among various communities.
