Coast Guard Rescues Stranded Sri Lankan Nationals near Mandapam
Five Sri Lankan nationals, including a man, a woman, and three girls, were rescued from Adamambalam sandbank near Mandapam.
They had been stranded for nearly 24 hours after departing from Mannar District, Sri Lanka, in a mystery boat.
Having paid Rs. 13,000 in Sri Lankan currency, the group was left stranded on the sandbar, prompting the Coast Guard Police to intervene and successfully rescue them.
An investigation is ongoing to gather more details about the incident.
