DODA, August 03: In a bid to assess and enhance the healthcare services in remote regions, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Doda, Dr. Om Kumar, conducted an inspection at the AAM Sub Centre in Thanote, under Medical Block Ghat, District Doda, on August 3, 2024.
The visit is part of the ongoing initiative by the health department to ensure that healthcare facilities across the district maintain high standards and provide quality care to all patients, especially those in distant areas.
Dr. Om Kumar’s visit aimed to directly observe the state of infrastructure, patient care, and the efficiency of healthcare delivery at the sub-centre.
During the inspection, Dr. Kumar interacted with the on-duty staff, issuing directives focused on enhancing service delivery. He stressed the importance of maintaining punctuality and ensuring that all records are kept updated.
These measures, according to Dr. Kumar, are crucial for monitoring and improving patient care outcomes.
A significant part of the discussion was centered around the need for optimal utilization of the resources available at the facility. Dr. Kumar emphasized that patient care should be the top priority for all healthcare workers and that they must strive to make the best use of the resources at their disposal.
He reiterated the department’s commitment to upgrading healthcare services, particularly in remote and underserved areas.
Accompanying the CMO on this visit was Sh. Rishi Kumar Pandita, the Head Pharmacist, who supported the CMO’s emphasis on improving healthcare standards and ensuring that the facility meets the needs of the local population effectively.
