DODA, August 01: In a bid to promote cleanliness and hygiene, the Health Department of Doda, led by CMO Dr. Om Kumar, launched the “Swachhta Pakhwada” 2024 campaign. This 15-day initiative aims to instill a sense of responsibility and commitment towards maintaining clean surroundings.
On the first day of the campaign, staff members from the CMO Office, Dy CMO Office, and students from ANMT School Doda, led by CMO Dr. Om Kumar, actively participated in cleanliness drives. The event was aimed at ensuring the upkeep and cleanliness of the area.
In his address, Dr. Om Kumar emphasized the importance of maintaining hygiene and spreading awareness about hygiene practices. He elaborated on the objectives of the Swachhta Pakhwada campaign and called for active participation from local communities to contribute to cleanliness efforts in their respective areas.
During the event, the participants took the Swachhta Pledge with great enthusiasm, committing themselves to maintaining cleanliness.

The campaign included various activities focusing on cleanliness and sanitation awareness. These activities were also observed in all medical blocks, including Assar, Bhaderwah, Gandoh, Ghat, and Assar, under the supervision of Block Medical Officers (BMOs). The goal is to conduct regular cleanliness drives and inspire others to adopt a cleanliness-oriented lifestyle.
The “Swachhta Pakhwada” campaign reflects the Health Department’s dedication to promoting hygiene and cleanliness, encouraging both staff and community members to take an active role in creating a cleaner environment.
