 Clear River Games and TAITO Bring Operation Night Strikers 

Clear River Games, a video game publisher specialising in classic and retro games, in conjunction with renowned video game publisher, TAITO, recently announced the triumphant return of four thrilling arcade classics – three lightgun shooters, and one title that blends gunplay action with high-octane driving – all appearing in one action-packed compilation, with Operation Night Strikers coming to Nintendo® Switch™ and Steam via digital download this August!

In the golden age of arcade gaming, few titles lived up to the thrill of lightgun classics; easy to play, tough to beat and full of adrenaline packed action. Ask any discerning arcade connoisseur who ruled supreme in the world of lightgun and driving games, and the name TAITO would surely be at the top of many gamers’ lists. Now, Clear River Games and TAITO bring not one, but four beloved arcade classics, in one value packed release, to Nintendo Switch and Steam gamers this summer, not only perfectly recreating the thrills of a bygone era but managing to enhance and improve each game for a modern gaming audience.

Operation Night Strikers includes Operation Wolf, Operation Thunderbolt, Night Striker and Space Gun, each title a perfect example of the genre and certain to provide endless entertainment for lovers of lightguns and driving games everywhere.

Operation Wolf:
Using only a machine gun and rocket-propelled grenades, gamers must infiltrate enemy territory, secure the hostages, then get them safely to the extraction point! Your mission code name is Operation Wolf. Do not fail!

Operation Thunderbolt:
A hostage rescue mission in Africa is in play, and only one man can help! Roy Adams, hero of Operation Wolf is back, and this time his former green beret team-mate, Hardy Jones joins the fight. Your mission code is Operation Thunderbolt. Impossible odds and an army of bad guys mean nothing to these soldiers!

Night Striker:
Assuming the role of an elite member of the UNSTAF’s (United Nations Special Tactical Action Force) main offensive unit, a.k.a. Night Striker, gamers are tasked with the mission of destroying the enemy terrorist organization. It won’t be easy, but armed with your high-speed combat hovercraft: Inter-Gray Xsi, players face impossible odds and non-stop blasting action!

Space Gun:
2039 AD: an age of space exploration. On their way to investigate an unexplained incident on a sprawling space station, a team of crack space marines receive a distress call from a cargo ship, but nothing could prepare them for the horrors onboard! Use your multi-purpose rifle to slay the monsters, rescue the hostages and save the day before time runs out!

When playing on Nintendo Switch, gamers can make full use of the Joy-Con™ motion sensing controls to replicate that lightgun feeling, and Nintendo Switch and Steam gamers can use a USB mouse or cursor aided controls to re-live the classic 80’s gameplay!
