Chief-Justice Singh Inaugurates Exclusive Ladies-Bar-Room at Srinagar High Court, Pledges Support for Female Advocates
The High Court complex in Srinagar has recently added an exclusive Ladies Bar Room, officially inaugurated by Justice N. Kotiswar Singh, the Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. The event was attended by companion judges, the Advocate General, members of the Bar, and Registry officers.
During the inauguration, Chief Justice Singh highlighted the pivotal role of female lawyers in maintaining a robust judicial system that upholds the Rule of Law and protects citizens’ rights. He commended the contributions of Lady Lawyers in the administration of justice, emphasizing their efforts in expediting legal processes, reducing case backlogs, and ensuring timely justice for those in need.
Chief Justice Singh made a commitment to extend all necessary facilities to Lady Advocates in the subordinate courts of the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. He urged them to provide suggestions for advancing and upgrading the infrastructure of these courts.
Expressing gratitude, Chief Justice Singh acknowledged the High Court Registry and all officers involved in the timely completion of the project, emphasizing their role in making the Ladies Bar Room a reality.
