    Chenab Taekwondo Championship Wraps Up in JK-UT

    Chenab Open J&K-UT Taekwondo Championships-2024 organized by J&K Taekwondo Association under the aegis of Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI) and J&K Sports Council (JKSC) concluded at Indoor Stadium, Doda.

    The Championships was open for Pee Wee, Sub Junior, Cadet, Junior & Senior athletes of UT J&K and it observed a massive participation of young athletes.

    Around 300 athletes across different districts from J&K participated.
    District Doda clinched the trophy of the Chenab Open J&K UT Taekwondo Championships-2024, while Runner up Trophy was bagged by District Udhampur and the 2nd Runner Up Trophy was bagged by District Jammu.

    The active participation award was given to District Pulwama and District Srinagar. The Best Sportsman spirit award was given to District Kathua.

    In the closing Ceremony Mohd Rizwan Wani (Principal Iqra International School Doda) was Chief Guest who distributed medals and trophies to the winners. He congratulated all the participants, coaches and medalist. Dr Mubashir Gazi Mintoo, Masood Zargar (AEE, PWD), Brinder Singh Manhas and Amir Sofi, were present there as Guests of Honour.

    Rameez Malik was the Observer who was appointed by J&K Sports Council (JKSC). The Championship was headed by Rajesh Pangotra President JKTA and Junaid Ali Khan President Taekwondo Association of District Doda.

    In the referee panel were Vinod Kumar (NR), Shanaz Parveen (NR), Suhail Ahmad Khan (NR), Dushyant Kapta (NR), and also included J&K Referee , Shah Faisal , Humara Manzoor, Tajamul Gani, Sumit Kumar, Rakesh Singh, Suresh Singh, Sidharth Sharma, Zain Nazir and Sonam Chospal.

    The Technical Team of the tournament who displayed the fairplay decisions throughout the Championship was led by Burhan Ud Din Khan (Taekwondo Coach & Referee) who was appointed by J&K Taekwondo Association (Regd) with full support of organising committee, Faisal Tanvir, Tayab Hamza, Kashif Iqbal and Umar Iqbal.
