Budgam Police arrests drug peddler and seize contraband substance
Budgam, Dec 8: In continuation of the efforts to eradicate the drug menace from the society, Budgam Police arrested 01 drug peddler in the jurisdiction of PP Soibugh and seized contraband substance.
Police Post Soibugh received information through reliable sources that one person namely ‘Manzoor Ahmed Bhat S/o Ab Kareem Bhat R/o Nadigam’ has concealed contraband substance in his residential house.
Upon the receipt of the information a special team was constituted under the supervision of Dysp Hqr Budgam led by IC Police Post Soibugh who along with independent witnesses raided the residential house of the accused.

During the search, 14 Kgs of Charas in powder form were recovered from the said house which was seized and the accused was arrested on the spot.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 464/2024 U/s 8/20 of NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Budgam. Further investigation of the case was set into motion.
