Bovine Smuggling Attempt Foiled by Police in Doda

Dec-05,2024: District Police Doda in a statement has said that a bovine smuggling attempt was foiled in Doda area and a vehicle loaded with 03 Bovines was seized during early hours today.

On the directions of SSP Doda Sandeep Kumar Metha JKPS, a Police team led by IC Police Post Pul Doda established a naka on Doda-Bhaderwah road. At about 05-30 hrs, police party intercepted a Vehicle bearing Registration No. JK19A-1270 which was comming from Bhaderwah side towards Batote.

The vehicle was stopped for checking. On seeing the Police party at naka, driver of the vehicle fled from the spot and after checking found that the vehicle was loaded with three bovine animals, which were tied with rope without feeding arrangments and without proper permission.

The police promptly seized the vehicle on the spot and in this connection case FIR No. 295/2024 under section 223 BNS with 11 PC act stands registered at Police Station Doda. Investigation of the case is going on.
