BJP’s Disciplinary Committee Issues Notices to Kashmir Party “Rebels”
The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Disciplinary Committee has taken action against eight party members in Kashmir, issuing notices for their alleged involvement in activities deemed detrimental to the party’s discipline and for fostering mistrust in party leadership.
Notices to “Rebels”
The notices were dispatched from the party’s headquarters and were addressed to GM Mir, Dr. Ali Mohd Mir, Altaf Thakur, Asif Masoodi, Arif Raja, Anwar Khan, Manzoor Bhat, and Bilal Parray. The committee cited concerns that these individuals had engaged in actions that were prejudicial to maintaining discipline within the party, and their activities had eroded trust in the party leadership.

Opportunity for Apology
In response to these allegations, the Disciplinary Committee has provided the eight party members with an opportunity to rectify their conduct. They have been requested to submit an unconditional apology and give an undertaking that such actions will not be repeated in the future. The notice emphasized the importance of their positions within the party and their past contributions. Failure to comply with this request could result in formal disciplinary proceedings, which might lead to removal from official positions and even expulsion from the primary membership of the BJP, should the allegations of indiscipline be proven.
One-Week Deadline
The individuals in question have been given one week from the date of the notice to provide their unconditional apology and undertaking. The notice was served through WhatsApp, eliminating the need for separate service.
The BJP’s Disciplinary Committee consists of Sunil Sethi as Chairman, along with Aseem Gupta and Rekha Mahajan as committee members. This action underscores the party’s commitment to maintaining discipline and unity within its ranks.
