BJP Leader Issues Warning to Mehbooba Mufti Over Remarks on Supreme Court Verdict
Tarun Chugh, the national general secretary of the BJP and party incharge for J&K and Ladakh, has cautioned former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti against provoking public sentiments in opposition to the Supreme Court’s decision on the abrogation of Article 370.
Expressing strong disapproval of Mufti’s statement that the Supreme Court verdict is “not God’s verdict,” Chugh accused her of indirectly attempting to incite the people of J&K against constitutional institutions.
Chugh raised suspicions about whether Mufti’s actions were influenced by the Pakistan ISI forces. He emphasized the need for her to focus on Indian nationalism instead of turning to external sources to misguide the people of J&K.

Chugh highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies and programs have initiated a new era in J&K, resulting in the eradication of terrorism and the promotion of tourism. He stressed that the people are now seeking growth and prosperity and are unwilling to be swayed by the politically misleading narratives of the Muftis and Abdullahs.
According to Chugh, the Muftis and Abdullahs, in collaboration with the Gandhis, have deceived the people of J&K for an extended period. However, he asserted that the tide has now turned, and Mehbooba’s false narrative will not resonate with those who aspire for peace and prosperity.
