Bhaderwah Adventure and Tourism Association Meets DC Doda
A productive meeting was held today with Deputy Commissioner Doda to discuss initiatives aimed at promoting tourism and environmental sustainability in the region and also discussed the upcoming 03 days Vibrant Snow festival.
The meeting, led by President Manish Kotwal, General Secretary Vikaas Sharma, Vice President Ravi Kumar, Amresh Kotwal, Iren James, Joginder Kotwal, Mehran, Ranjeet Kumar and other members of the association.
Key Initiatives Discussed in Meeting with DC Doda to Boost Tourism and Sustainability.
- Rafting Festival at PremNagar.
The possibility of organizing a Rafting Festival at PremNagar, Doda, was discussed in detail. This event aims to establish the region as a prime white-water rafting destination and attract adventure enthusiasts. The final dates for the festival will be announced following further consultations with the Association.
Polythene Ban at Popular Tourist Spots.
A significant environmental step was proposed to ban the use of polythene at major tourist locations in Bhadarwah, including Guldanda and Jai Valley. This measure is expected to preserve the pristine beauty of these areas and align with sustainable tourism practices.
- Snow Festival Preparations.
In anticipation of the upcoming Snow Festival, it was proposed to set up local stalls at the Bhadarwah Bus Stand. These stalls will highlight local handicrafts, traditional food, and tourism information, enhancing the festive atmosphere and supporting local artisans.
