Baramulla Police Detain Eight Under Public Safety Act
Baramulla Police have detained eight individuals under the Public Safety Act, following official detention orders from the authorities. These individuals are now held at District Jail, Udhampur, and Central Jail Kot-Balwal, Jammu. The detained individuals are Waqar Ahmad Bhat, Danish Hussain Gojree, Taseen Ahmad Hurra, Mohd Abdullah Bhat, Mohd Ashraf Wani (also known as Ashraf Haji), Suhail Ahmad Sheikh, Touseef Ahmad Akhoon, and Abdul Majeed Shah.
These individuals have a history of multiple cases against them, related to public order disturbances and other criminal activities. Their names were subsequently added to the Public Safety Act. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
