Dhaka, Apr 12 (VoM News): The Bangladesh Cricket Board has granted a one day extension to the No Objection Certificates of pacers Shoriful Islam and Nahid Rana, allowing them to continue playing in the ongoing Pakistan Super League.

The decision was taken following a request from their franchise Peshawar Zalmi and the Pakistan Cricket Board, the BCB said in an official statement on Sunday.

The two fast bowlers were initially granted NOCs valid until April 12, 2026. With the latest extension, both players will now be available for Zalmi’s next league match scheduled on April 13.

“Under the revised arrangement, both players have been permitted to remain in Pakistan for Peshawar Zalmi’s scheduled PSL fixture,” the board stated.

Peshawar Zalmi have been in strong form this season and currently sit at the top of the points table, winning four out of their five matches. They are set to face Multan Sultans in their upcoming fixture.

Meanwhile, both Shoriful and Nahid remain part of Bangladesh’s plans for the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand cricket team.

The duo have been named in the squad for the first two One Day Internationals, scheduled to be played at Sher e Bangla National Stadium on April 17 and 20. The third ODI will take place in Chattogram on April 23.

Bangladesh will be led by Mehidy Hasan Miraz, with experienced players like Litton Das and Taskin Ahmed also part of the squad, alongside emerging talents including Rishad Hossein and Nahid Rana.
