Australian PM Accused of Complicity in Genocide; ICC Referral Filed
A group of Australian lawyers, supported by around 100 legal professionals, accuses Prime Minister Anthony Albanese of being an “accessory to genocide” in Gaza.
The legal request submitted to the International Criminal Court (ICC) outlines five actions for investigation, including the freezing of $6 million in aid to UNRWA, military aid to Israel, deploying Australian troops to the region, and permitting Australians to join Israel’s military offensive in Gaza.
The lawyers urge the ICC to investigate these actions, asserting that they constitute complicity in genocide.
