Atul Dutt Sharma Appointed Special Assistant to JK Opposition Leader

JThe Jammu and Kashmir government has issued an official order transferring and posting Mr. Atul Dutt Sharma, JKAS, as the Special Assistant to the Leader of Opposition in the J&K Legislative Assembly. Sharma, who previously served as the Personnel Officer at Associated Hospitals, Jammu, has been reassigned with immediate effect.

The transfer order, numbered 190-JK(GAD) of 2025, was issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) under the authority of Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, M. Raju, IAS. The decision was made in the interest of administration and governance.

As per the order, copies of the notification have been sent to key officials, including the Secretary to the Government, Health & Medical Education Department, Administrator of Associated Hospitals, Director of Archives, and the Private Secretary to the Chief Minister. The notification also states that Hindi and Urdu versions of the order will be released soon.

This move is seen as a strategic reshuffle within the administration, reinforcing support for the opposition leadership in the J&K Assembly.
