    Key Highlights:

    1. Farooq Abdullah asserts that Article 370 will be restored in Jammu and Kashmir.
    2. He dismisses any impact on NC-Congress alliance from Engineer Rashid’s arrival.
    3. Abdullah questions the intentions of those previously seeking Jammu and Kashmir’s independence.

National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah reaffirmed his commitment to restoring Article 370, which was abrogated by the central government on August 5, 2019. Addressing reporters in Shopian, Abdullah described Article 370 as the “heartbeat” of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and expressed confidence that it would be reinstated.

“It took them years to remove Article 370. We will bring it back because Articles 370 and 35A are crucial for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

It will definitely return, God willing,” Abdullah declared in response to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s recent statement that Article 370 would never be restored.

When questioned about potential challenges to the NC-Congress alliance due to the entry of Engineer Rashid, Abdullah dismissed any concerns. “I do not fear anyone. I trust Allah and the people.

Rashid is known to be an agent, and his arrival will not harm the NC,” he remarked confidently.

Engineer Rashid, who recently signaled his willingness to support the INDIA bloc if they pledged to reinstate Article 370, was met with skepticism by Abdullah.

The NC leader criticized Rashid’s sudden change in stance, pointing out that he had once called for a plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir and raised pro-Pakistan slogans.

“What kind of miracle has happened today that they have suddenly become India’s beloved? These are the same people who were once advocating for independence.

Now they claim to support India,” Abdullah remarked, casting doubt on the motivations behind Rashid’s new political stance.
