
Anti-social Elements Entered the Protest Site, Not Even Listening To CJP: Police
VoM News Desk, July 23, 2026: The authorities has suspended the internet after the fresh clashes were reported between protestors and police near Jantar Mantar.
Nearly, reports have surfaced that six cops have been injured as tear gas shells and stones throwing are going on, now reported as stable.
Police stated that the antisocial element have entered the protest site.
As per media reports, the police stated that the protestors are not even listening to the organisers (CJP), and are continuously pelting stones at personel.
CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke while taking to microblogging platform ‘X’ tweeted, “Internet service shutdown at Jantar Mantar. Govt planning another brutal crackdown?” In another post, Dipke appealed to police and paramilitary personnel deployed at the protest site not to use force against demonstrators.
Meanwhile, Bollywood actor Salman Khan took X to express his concerns about students. He said, “It was such a peaceful movement; I feel so sad that it had to take a violent turn. My heart goes out to the students and their families who were hurt.”
