Amid Extensive Rumour Mongering, Bharat Petroleum Assures of No Fuel Shortage in India
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited on Wednesday issued a public advisory dismissing rumours of petrol and diesel shortages across the country, stating that fuel supplies remain stable and sufficient.
In an official communication, the state-run oil marketing company said that “rumours of petrol and diesel shortages are completely unfounded,” and reassured citizens that India has ample fuel reserves. It further clarified that supply chains are functioning normally without any disruption.
The statement comes amid growing public concern in some regions following unverified claims circulating on social media, which triggered panic buying at certain fuel stations.
Bharat Petroleum urged citizens not to rely on misinformation and to avoid unnecessary rush at petrol pumps, emphasising that there is no cause for concern.
India’s fuel distribution network, managed by major public sector companies, continues to operate efficiently, ensuring uninterrupted availability of petrol and diesel nationwide.
