The Emirate of Ajman celebrates a remarkable 7% surge in total tourism revenue during the first quarter of 2024, driven by encouraging metrics across various fronts. According to the Ajman Tourism Development Department, there was a notable 3% increase in occupancy rates, accompanied by a significant 9% growth in visitor numbers compared to the same period in 2023. Additionally, the average hotel stay duration saw a commendable 5% uptick.
As Ajman prepares to participate in the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2024, scheduled for May 6-9 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the Department aims to spotlight the emirate’s rich cultural heritage, diverse tourism offerings, and vibrant events calendar. Furthermore, the focus is on fostering strategic partnerships to bolster cooperation and elevate Ajman’s status as a premier global tourism destination.
In 2023, October witnessed a notable 5% upsurge in tourism activity, leading to an impressive 11% rise in visitor numbers. This surge in occupancy rates contributed to a significant 5% growth in revenue per available room (RevPAR), ultimately resulting in an 11% increase in total revenue on an annual basis. Ajman’s thriving tourism sector continues to chart a promising growth trajectory, offering a beacon of hope and prosperity for the emirate’s future in the global tourism landscape.
