Ajit Pawar Responds to Controversy in Maharashtra Government, Promises to State His Position Once Nawab Malik Officially Presents His Stand
After Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed opposition to Nawab Malik’s induction into the ruling alliance, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar responded, stating that he would present his point after Malik made his stand official.
Ajit Pawar emphasized that the legislative assembly speaker decides the seating arrangement, not him.
The controversy over Nawab Malik’s alleged alignment with Ajit Pawar continues to be a point of contention between the alliance partners.
NCP-Ajit Pawar Faction leader Amol Mitkari mentioned that Nawab Malik’s status as the party’s spokesperson and a senior leader would be clarified by senior leaders.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut criticized the developments, calling them a farce and highlighting allegations against other Ajit faction leaders.
Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi labeled CM Devendra Fadnavis’s letter as hypocrisy, citing compromises for power.
Jayant Patil of the Sharad Pawar faction suggested that Fadnavis’s letter was a way to explain Malik’s induction to the people of Maharashtra.
Fadnavis had written to Ajit Pawar opposing Malik’s induction, citing his status as an accused in a money laundering case.
