Air India Cancels Delhi-Tel Aviv Flight Amidst Hamas Attack in Israel: Ensuring Passenger Safety
In response to the ongoing attack by Hamas terrorists in Tel Aviv, Air India has taken the prudent step of canceling its scheduled flight from the national capital, Delhi, to the Israeli city. The airline, which operates five weekly flights to Tel Aviv on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, deemed the cancellation of flight AI 139 and the return flight AI 140 on Saturday necessary to safeguard the interests and safety of passengers and crew.
Disrupted Flight Schedule
Flight AI 139, originally scheduled for 1535 hours (Indian time), and the corresponding return flight from Tel Aviv, AI 140, set for 2210 hours (Israel time) on Saturday, were affected by this decision. The time difference between Delhi and Tel Aviv, approximately 0230 hours, accentuated the impact of the disruption.
Passenger Support
Air India has assured passengers of comprehensive support tailored to their specific needs during this situation. Ensuring the well-being and safety of passengers remains paramount for the airline.
Solidarity with Israel
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed solidarity with Israel in the wake of the attack by Hamas terrorists. He unequivocally condemned the attacks as acts of terrorism. Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu characterized the situation as a state of war, further emphasizing the gravity of the situation.
As the conflict unfolds, nations around the world are closely monitoring the situation and extending their support for peace and security in the region.
