In a significant development for cricket in the Kashmir region, the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has announced that it will host three Ranji Trophy matches after a hiatus of six years.

Majid Dar, in charge of cricket development in Kashmir, revealed that two of the matches will be held in Srinagar at the Sheri Kashmir Cricket Stadium. The third match will take place in Jammu, though the schedule for this game is yet to be announced.
“According to the match schedule issued by the BCCI, JK’s Ranji team will play against Maharashtra and Services in Srinagar at the Sheri Kashmir Cricket Stadium,” Dar stated. The matches in Srinagar are scheduled for October.
