On Sunday, Vijay Kumar, the Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order), undertook a visit to Poonch, where he conducted a comprehensive review of the prevailing law and order situation alongside key police officials in the district.

Accompanied by the Divisional Commissioner of Jammu and the Inspector General of Police (Jammu), the ADGP engaged in discussions with various stakeholders, including the District Development Council (DDC) Chairman, DDC members, and other prominent individuals in the region. The purpose of the meeting was to assess and address the recent unfortunate incident in which three civilians lost their lives.

In response to the tragic event, the army had expressed its commitment to fully cooperate with the investigation into the deaths of the three civilians. The visit by the Additional Director General of Police aimed at fostering collaboration among relevant authorities and community leaders to ensure a thorough and effective probe into the incident.
