Accident at Ponda Doda, 1 killed

A minor has lost her life, while three have received critical injuries after a vehicle bearing registeration number JK02AD-8791 fell into a deep gorge near Ponda Dhar area on Bharat Road in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda.

As details reached VoM, five to six persons were boarded inside the vehicle, which is said to be a Maruti Suzuki.

Further reports state that the vehicle went out of the driver’s control and fell into a deep gorge, resulting in the death of a minor girl, while three persons were critically injured. The other two persons have received minor injuries.

The locals, police, and Ababeel Doda initiated the rescue operation and transported the accident victims to the GMC & AH Doda.

As per sources, the vehicle was on the way to Gadhyari from Doda when it met with a tragic accident. The residents have also hinted at the speeding of the vehicle; however, after the police take action and initiate an inquiry, it would be better to indicate the cause of the accident.

The deceased has been identified as Kavita Devi (15), while as injured have been identified as Sunny (13), S/o Melab Singh, R/o Baravan, Teh Barth Bagla, Doda, Sachan (15), S/o Naresh Kumar, R/o Baravan, Teh Barth Bagla, Doda, Sanjana Devi (25), D/o Bharat Raj, R/o Baravan, Teh Barth Bagla, Doda,Sejal (23), D/o Bharat Raj, R/o Baravan, Teh Barth Bagla, Doda, Punjab Singh (42)……(updated)

An investigation has been taken by the police, as per officials.
