Abu Dhabi Secures Hosting Rights for Saudi Super Cup

Abu Dhabi is set to host the upcoming edition of the Saudi Super Cup, marking the first time the tournament will be held outside of Saudi Arabia in the Middle East. Experience Abu Dhabi, the destination brand for the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), led the successful bid for hosting. The three-match tournament is scheduled to kick off on April 8, featuring clashes between Al-Ittihad Club and Al Wehda FC, as well as Al Hilal SFC and Al-Nassr FC. The final showdown will take place on April 11 at the Mohamed bin Zayed Stadium.

Football Stars and Regional Talent to Shine

The tournament is anticipated to showcase the talents of football legends Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema, alongside regional stars like Salem Al Dawsari and Abderrazak Hamdallah. The competition for the coveted cup adds another exciting event to Abu Dhabi’s ‘Back-to-Back’ calendar, coinciding with the Eid Al Fitr public holiday. This arrangement provides an opportunity for football enthusiasts from the GCC, Middle East, and beyond to witness top football talent in action in the emirate.
