AAP Appoints Raghav Chadha as Rajya Sabha Leader in Place of Sanjay Singh
Following recent developments, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has designated its MP Raghav Chadha as the new leader in the Rajya Sabha, replacing Sanjay Singh, as per inside sources. In a letter addressed to the Rajya Sabha Chairman, the AAP leadership cited Sanjay Singh’s health concerns as the reason for the change and nominated Raghav Chadha to assume the party’s leadership role in the upper house during Singh’s absence. Presently, Sanjay Singh, an AAP MP, is detained in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case.
Confirmation from sources within the Rajya Sabha secretariat verified the receipt of the AAP’s letter detailing the appointment of Mr. Chadha as the party’s floor leader. The communication is currently under review by the Secretary General of the Rajya Sabha for procedural implementation.
Raghav Chadha stands as one of the youngest members within the Rajya Sabha. Currently, the AAP holds a total of 10 seats in the Upper House.
The AAP holds the fourth largest representation in the Rajya Sabha, trailing behind the BJP, the Congress, and the TMC, consolidating its position within the upper echelons of parliamentary influence.
