Aadhav Arjuna Alleges BJP-DMK Conspiracy Over TN 2026 Teaser Mocking Vijay

New Delhi:Tamil film TN 2026 – Thangai Natchathiram is all set for release next week but its teaser sparked a political controversy on Friday. The film’s teaser, which released on April 2, shows a movie hero named Golden Star Gulkand Kumar, played by Nataraj aka Natty, make his debut in politics. The TN 2026 teaser started trending on Friday and many TVK fans expressed outrage. Vijay fans see the teaser as a direct attack on their screen idol since he is the big Kollywood star contesting this 2026 elections.

What sparked the controversy on Friday was also the fact that Gulkand Kumar dresses and looks somewhat like Vijay sporting a white shirt, khaki pants and a salt-and-pepper look. His mannerisms too are like Vijay – he walks in the same style and the way he waves his hand at the crowd is spot on too. The other characters in that teaser question and make fun of film star Kumar’s decision to get into politics.

One character played by Redin Kingsley gets on stage to give a political speech and takes on Kumar saying, “Hey movie-boy (cinema kara payale) this is Tamil Nadu. It’s fine to desire a life here, there’s nothing wrong with that. But you think you can rule it?”

The teaser then goes on to end with someone saying, ‘Om Shakti Parashakti…’, a phrase that was used by Vijay to attack the DMK in a recent campaign speech.

Rana Daggubati Denies Varanasi Role

On Friday, TVK leader Aadhav Arjuna spoke about the TN 2026 teaser claiming that this was a conspiracy of the DMK and BJP to damage Vijay’s image. Aadhav Arjuna stated, “When Jana Nayagan can’t release, how can a politically-charged film like this be released ahead of the election? Do you now understand this is an action by both DMK and BJP? People will not care about this film. They earlier released Parasakthi, which didn’t run for a day. This will also face a similar fate.”

TN 2026 is directed by Umapathy Ramaiah and also stars Kingsley, Thambi Ramaiah, MS Baskar, Ilavarasu, Shrrita Rao, Chandini Tamilarasan and Yashika Anand.

It remains to be seen if the film violates the Moral Code of Conduct given its political theme and whether it will release as scheduled on April 10.
