Department Of Justice Releases Epstein Files With Unverified Allegations Linked To Donald Trump
Washington: The United States Department of Justice (DOJ) has released a new batch of documents connected to the investigation of convicted se••x offender Jeffrey Epstein, including summaries of interviews conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
Among the documents are records summarising interviews with an unidentified woman who made allegations involving several individuals, including former U.S. President Donald Trump. According to officials, the claims referenced in the interview summaries remain unverified and have not resulted in any criminal charges.
The newly released files include what are commonly known as FBI “302 reports,” which document statements given by witnesses during interviews with federal investigators. These interviews were reportedly conducted in 2019 as part of the broader federal investigation into Epstein and his alleged network.
Officials from the Justice Department said the records were released after a review determined that some documents had previously been withheld due to administrative classification errors, where certain files were mistakenly marked as duplicates. Following the review process, the DOJ decided to publish the materials as part of ongoing transparency efforts related to the Epstein investigation.
The interview summaries contain the woman’s account of alleged incidents from the 1980s. However, authorities emphasize that the statements recorded in the reports represent claims made during interviews and do not constitute verified findings by investigators.
Representatives for Donald Trump have strongly denied the allegations referenced in the documents. Officials described the claims as “completely baseless” and said they are not supported by credible evidence. They also noted that no legal action or criminal charges have been brought against Trump in connection with the claims mentioned in the FBI summaries.
Legal experts note that large federal investigations often collect numerous statements and tips from individuals, many of which remain unverified. Such records are typically preserved as part of investigative documentation but do not necessarily indicate confirmed wrongdoing.
The Epstein case has drawn global attention for years due to the financier’s connections with prominent figures in politics, business and entertainment. Epstein was arrested in 2019 on federal charges related to the alleged trafficking of underage girls. He d!ed in custody later that year while awaiting trial, a dæth officially ruled a su!c!de.
Lawmakers and advocacy groups have continued to call for greater transparency regarding documents related to the Epstein investigation. The Justice Department has stated that additional files are still under review and may be released as part of ongoing efforts to provide public access to relevant records.
Officials stress that the recently released interview summaries should be viewed in context as part of a broader archive of investigative material, and that the allegations referenced within them remain unverified.
This remains a developing story.
