LIVE Updates: Israel-Iran Conflict Escalates Across the Middle East
Israeli forces continue to intensify strikes on Tehran and Beirut, hitting strategic locations including the Iranian state broadcaster. The attacks have pushed the death toll in Iran and Lebanon past 600, as the conflict enters its most volatile phase in recent years.
US President Donald Trump has signaled that the military campaign against Iran could last about four weeks. In a firm warning, he pledged that Washington will do whatever it takes to neutralize Tehran’s missile and nuclear capabilities, underscoring the seriousness of the joint Israel-US operation.
Meanwhile, Gulf states are feeling the reverberations of the fighting. Kuwait has reported detecting a wave of Iranian missiles and drones in its airspace. Officials stressed that the country’s armed forces remain on high alert to defend national territory and ensure the safety of citizens. “The army affirms full readiness to deal with all threats,” a statement said, highlighting the tense vigilance across the region.
The UAE has also reported dealing with missile threats, while early Tuesday saw multiple explosions over Doha, Qatar. The Qatari military confirmed it successfully intercepted two ballistic missiles before they could enter the country, noting that the pre-approved operational plans were executed immediately to prevent damage.
The impact of the conflict has reached critical infrastructure. Iran has struck energy facilities across the Gulf, causing global oil and gas prices to spike. Qatar’s state-owned petroleum company temporarily suspended liquefied natural gas production after two facilities were hit, while Saudi Arabia shut its largest domestic oil refinery as a precautionary measure. Adding to the tension, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps declared the Strait of Hormuz—through which a fifth of the world’s oil supply passes—“closed,” warning that any vessels attempting to navigate it would face attack.
Across Israel, missile threats have continued. The Israeli military reported interceptions over West Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Eilat. At least ten people have been killed since Saturday. In Lebanon, heavy Israeli airstrikes targeted Hezbollah strongholds in Beirut following earlier forced evacuations of residents. Officials reported at least 52 deaths and more than 150 wounded.
The US military confirmed that six American troops have lost their lives amid the fighting, a stark reminder of how the conflict has expanded beyond national borders and into a full-scale regional crisis. Analysts warn that these developments could further destabilize the Middle East if hostilities continue unchecked.
The situation is evolving rapidly. Every strike, interception, and political statement adds another layer to a conflict that now grips multiple countries, sending shockwaves through energy markets, regional security, and international diplomacy.
