JKSSB Aspirants Furious as Web Portal Fails Despite Crores Collected in Fees
Srinagar, Feb 24: Despite collecting crores of rupees as application form fees from thousands of job aspirants across Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) is facing severe criticism over the repeated failure of its official web portal, leaving candidates distressed and helpless.
For the past several days, aspirants have been complaining about frequent technical glitches, server downtime, login failures, payment gateway issues, and incomplete submission errors on the JKSSB website. These persistent problems have not only disrupted the application process but have also caused immense mental stress among candidates, many of whom are appearing for multiple recruitment examinations.
The situation has become particularly alarming in view of Advertisement Notification No. 13 of 2025, for which the last date of online application submission is tomorrow. Scores of aspirants allege that due to continuous technical faults in the web portal, they have failed to complete and submit their application forms despite repeated attempts. Many candidates reported that the website either crashes at crucial stages of form submission or fails to process payments, ultimately blocking them from applying altogether.
“After preparing for months, it is extremely painful to miss an opportunity just because of a faulty website. We tried day and night, but the portal keeps showing errors,” said an aggrieved aspirant from North Kashmir.
Another candidate from South Kashmir stated, “JKSSB charges hefty application fees and yet fails to maintain a stable and functional website. This is highly disappointing and unfair to unemployed youth who are already under tremendous pressure.”
Aspirants have demanded immediate intervention by the authorities, urging JKSSB to extend the deadline for Advertisement Notification No. 13 of 2025 and ensure that the web portal is fully functional before closing the application window. They have also sought accountability for the repeated technical failures, stating that such negligence jeopardizes the future of thousands of deserving candidates.
Aspirants have echoed these concerns, calling upon the government to upgrade the digital infrastructure of recruitment bodies and establish robust grievance redressal mechanisms to address such issues promptly.
As the deadline looms, aspirants continue to remain anxious, hoping for an extension and swift corrective measures. However, in the absence of any official clarification so far, uncertainty prevails, adding to the mounting frustration among the unemployed youth of the region..
