
Two Militants Killed in Ongoing Encounter in Kishtwar
A top Jaish-e-Mohammad commander was among two militants killed in a gunfight with security forces in Chatroo area of Kishtwar district in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.
Official sources said that on specific input a joint team of police, army and 2 Para launched an operation. During the exchange of fire two militants were killed. One among the slain is said to be a top JeM commander, who as per sources gave slip to security forces many times before.
Taking on micro-blogging platform X, the army’s WhiteKnight Corps wrote, “White Knight Corps tweets, “Following successful contact established earlier, troops of CIF Delta White Knight Corps, in close coordination with JK Police and CRPF, re-engaged the terrorists. Displaying tactical precision, seamless synergy and resolute aggression, troops dominated the encounter site, wherein two terrorists have been successfully neutralised. War-like stores, including 2 AK47 rifles, have also been recovered, reads the post.
