British High Commissioner Praises India’s Space Ambition After Successful Gaganyaan Test Mission

The British High Commissioner to India, Alex Ellis, has commended India’s “ambition” and “capability” following the successful Test Vehicle Abort Mission as part of the Gaganyaan Project. Ellis expressed admiration for India’s achievements in space exploration and highlighted the successful Chandrayaan mission.

Gaganyaan Test Vehicle Abort Mission

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) recently announced the successful execution of the ‘TV-D1’ (Test Vehicle DBritish High Commissioner Praises India’s Space Ambition After Successful Gaganyaan Test Missionevelopment Flight 1) as part of the Gaganyaan Mission, marking a significant milestone in India’s space exploration endeavors.

UK-India Free Trade Agreement Negotiations

Regarding a visit by British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to India, Ellis mentioned that the visit is dependent on the progress of the negotiations for a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the UK and India. Negotiations for the FTA began in 2022.

Celebration of Durga Puja

Alex Ellis also expressed his happiness at participating in the Durga Puja festival celebrations in Delhi. He hailed the festival as a powerful expression of faith and commended the hospitality of the Bengali community. Durga Puja is a significant Hindu festival dedicated to the worship of Goddess Durga and her avatars.
