A Grand Welcome Awaits

As Nawaz Sharif arrived at Dubai International Airport, where he is set to board the “Umeed-e-Pakistan” flight back to Pakistan, he expressed his delight and optimism. He conveyed, “Today I am going to Pakistan after 4 years, and I am feeling very happy with the grace of Allah. It would be great if the situation in Pakistan was better today than it was in 2017.”

Onboard the special plane, PML-N workers jubilantly cheered their party supremo, chanting slogans of “Nawaz Sharif for Prime Minister again.” Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) granted permission for the special plane to land upon arrival in the country, with Islamabad International Airport as its destination. After a brief stop in Islamabad, Sharif will head to Lahore.

Nawaz Sharif’s political journey has been fraught with challenges. The final term of his premiership was marked by upheavals, including a prolonged opposition-led blockade of Islamabad and his eventual disqualification by the Supreme Court in 2017.
