Winter Vacation Extended in Kargil Due to Weather Conditions
The Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh has announced an extension of the winter vacation for all government and private schools in Kargil due to prevailing weather conditions.
According to an official notice issued by the Office of the Chief Education Officer, Kargil, the vacation has been extended until 23 March 2025. Schools will now reopen on March 24 2025. The decision was made following directives from the Hon’ble Chief Executive Councillor of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil.
The notice has been circulated to key education and administrative officials, including the Deputy Commissioner/CEO of LAHDC, the Director of School Education in UT Ladakh, and media representatives for wider publicity.
