Our Fully India-made drones cannot be hijacked: Zuppa
Zuppa, an Indian drone maker, argues that its drones are more reliable since they cannot be hijacked and are built locally with no Chinese replacements.
Earlier this year, on August 23rd, an Indian army drone flying near the northern border was apparently hijacked by Pakistani officials. Zuppa argues that the drone was vulnerable since it was constructed with Chinese technology.
Investigations found that the majority of the drones deployed by the army were built with Chinese components and were vulnerable to hijacking. Since then, there has been a focus on local production as a means of ensuring security.

Orders for drones were placed on hold. Prior to the August hijacking, Zuppa I (on July 7th) claimed that all of its drone components were manufactured in India and suited for security and surveillance.

“We warned the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Civil Aviation, and the National Security Council Secretariat about the possibility of such an incident occurring,” stated Sai Pattabiram, Founder and MD of Zuppa Geo Navigation Technologies Limited.
Zuppa manufactures major components domestically, but many other companies use Chinese items. This includes the PCB, which is equivalent to the motherboard and has its own components, including the microprocessor chip. Zuppa’s computing architecture includes patents for code or software layers.
