Cricket fever is set to hit Kashmir as the final leg of the Legends League Cricket (LLC) will take place in Srinagar from October 9 to October 16. The much-anticipated event will bring 124 legendary cricketers to the region, including iconic players such as Shikhar Dhawan, Chris Gayle, Suresh Raina, Dinesh Karthik, Ian Bell, and Harbhajan Singh.
These stars will represent six different franchises during the tournament, with the final match scheduled for October 16.
Raman Raheja, Co-founder of the LLC, made the exciting announcement during a press briefing, revealing that Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar will serve as the venue for the cricket tournament.
Raheja explained that the stadium, typically used for football, was selected due to its large seating capacity, which will accommodate the expected large crowd of enthusiastic fans.
He also mentioned that while the previous matches held in Jammu received a great response, the demand for tickets in Srinagar is expected to be even higher.
Work on preparing the pitch is already underway, and organizers are confident it will be ready in time for the games. Raheja was accompanied at the media event by former Indian cricketers and LLC participants Muhammad Kaif and Naman Ojha, both of whom expressed their enthusiasm for the upcoming matches.
Cricket lovers in Kashmir are eagerly awaiting the arrival of these sporting legends, as the region gears up to host one of the most thrilling events in recent memory.
