Kishtwar, Aug 12, 2024: The Cybercrime Investigation Unit of District Police Kishtwar has reaffirmed its dedication to combating cybercrime by recovering online defrauded funds totaling ₹2,01,262 (Two lakh one thousand two hundred sixty-two rupees).

The Unit successfully resolved a case involving multiple online frauds, recovering the aforementioned amount. The scams included mobile recharge frauds, unauthorized third-party app installations, and malicious Telegram links promoting fraudulent trading apps like Aviator, Happybet, 11winner, and Skywinner.

Upon receiving complaints, the Cybercrime Investigation Unit promptly initiated a detailed investigation, utilizing advanced technical methods to trace and recover the defrauded funds. The swift actions of the Unit led to the recovery of ₹2,01,262. Investigations are ongoing, with promising leads expected to result in the recovery of additional funds.
