Handwara, July 28: In a heartbreaking incident, a 32-year-old private school teacher from Drungsoo Mawer, Fayaz Ahmad Ganie, lost his life in a road accident in Qalamabad Mawer, Handwara, this afternoon.

The victim, Fayaz Ahmad Ganie, son of Ghulam Ahmad Ganie, was riding his motorcycle when he lost control near the Haidermali area. According to witnesses, the accident occurred when Fayaz attempted to navigate a sharp turn, leading to his fall and severe injuries.

Local residents immediately rushed Fayaz to a nearby healthcare facility. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was taken to District Hospital Handwara.

Despite the doctors’ best efforts, his condition deteriorated, necessitating further referral to a Srinagar hospital. Tragically, Fayaz Ahmad succumbed to his injuries en route.

Fayaz Ahmad was more than just a teacher; he was a beloved figure in the area. His gentle demeanor and dedication to his students earned him the respect and affection of both colleagues and residents.

News of his untimely death has cast a pall of grief over the entire Mawer area, with many mourning the loss of a kind-hearted and dedicated educator.

“He was not just a teacher but a mentor and a friend to the students,” said a colleague from the school where Fayaz taught. “His absence will be deeply felt.”
