    The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) administers the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Exam for positions such as Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), and Data Entry Operator (DEO). Below is a detailed breakdown of the exam syllabus:

    Computer Based Examination (Tier-I):

    I. General Intelligence: Verbal and non-verbal questions covering various topics such as analogy, classification, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence.

    II. English Language: Tests grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and sentence structure through various exercises like spotting errors, fill in the blanks, and comprehension passages.

    III. Quantitative Aptitude: Covers topics like number systems, arithmetic operations, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and statistical analysis.

    General Awareness: Evaluates candidates’ knowledge of current events, history, geography, economics, and scientific research, including questions on India and its neighboring countries.

    For visually impaired (VH) candidates with 40% or more disability, certain components like maps, graphs, and diagrams are excluded from specific sections.

    Computer Based Examination (Tier-II):

    Module-I of Session-I (Mathematical Abilities): Extends topics from Tier-I with a focus on mathematical operations, geometry, trigonometry, and statistics.

    Module-II of Section-I (Reasoning and General Intelligence): Continues testing verbal and non-verbal reasoning skills with various exercises.

    Module-I of Section-II (English Language And Comprehension): Further examines vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension skills with passages and questions.

    Module-II of Section-II (General Awareness): Deepens the assessment of general awareness and knowledge of current events, scientific matters, and regional affairs.

    Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I (Computer Proficiency): Introduces candidates to computer basics, software usage, internet skills, and cybersecurity.

    VH candidates with 40% or more visual disability are exempted from certain graphical components in specific modules.

    Typing Test Medium– Choice of Hindi or English. – Selection final in online Application Form.
    Typing Speed Requirements– English: 35 words per minute (w.p.m.). – Hindi: 30 w.p.m.
    Corresponding Key Depressions per Hour– English: about 10,500 key depressions per hour. – Hindi: about 9,000 key depressions per hour.
    Typing Test Evaluation– Accuracy of typing on Computer in 10 minutes.
    Compensatory Time for Eligible Candidates (Typing Test)– Candidates eligible for scribe get 5 extra minutes.
    Passage Dictator for VH Candidates– Provided for VH candidates opting for a scribe.
    Exemption from Typing Test– Candidates with permanent physical disability may be exempt with prior approval and medical certificate. – Claim must be substantiated with relevant medical documentation.
