Jammu-Srinagar Highway partially restored
The Srinagar-Jammu highway has been partially reopened after being closed to traffic for the past 12 hours, according to traffic officials on Monday.
An official stated, “The Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44) has been partially restored, and efforts are underway to clear stranded vehicles between Nashree and Banihal.”
Additionally, he advised commuters to adhere to lane discipline, especially those traveling from Srinagar towards Kargil.
Earlier, traffic movement in both directions was halted on the Jammu-Srinagar NHW due to a landslide near Khooni Nalah in Ramban district.
