All treasuries in Jammu and Kashmir to remain open from March 29-31
The Jammu and Kashmir government has decided to extend the operational hours of all treasuries in the Union Territory from March 29 to 31, 2024.
Extended Operational Hours
According to the order issued, all treasuries in Jammu District, including the Civil Secretariat Treasury and New Delhi Treasury, will remain open on March 29th for conducting government business. The Civil Secretariat Treasury in Jammu and the Sub Treasury in New Delhi will also remain open on March 30th for government transactions. Additionally, on March 31st, all treasuries in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, including the Civil Secretariat Treasury and Sub Treasury in New Delhi, will exclusively receive government receipts.
Important Deadlines
The order further specifies that the last date and time for the receipt of claims for disbursement at the treasury for the fiscal year 2023-24 is March 29th, 2024, at 04:00 P.M. Treasury Officers are instructed to communicate consolidated liabilities by 05:30 P.M. on the same day. Bills or claims presented in March are subject to special audit as required.
This extension in operational hours aims to facilitate government transactions and ensure timely processing of financial matters in Jammu and Kashmir.
