Day 5 of the 14th Hockey India Senior Women National Championship witnessed thrilling encounters as Hockey Haryana, Hockey Association of Odisha, and Hockey Mizoram emerged victorious in their respective matches.
Hockey Haryana Dominates Pool D:
Hockey Haryana showcased their dominance with a remarkable 22-0 victory against Le Puducherry Hockey in a Pool D encounter. Led by Indian Women’s Hockey Team forward Deepika’s exceptional performance, Hockey Haryana secured their second consecutive win in the tournament. Deepika’s sensational six-goal haul, along with contributions from other players, sealed a convincing win for the team.
Odisha’s Commanding Performance:
In a Pool E clash, the Hockey Association of Odisha displayed stellar teamwork to secure a 6-1 victory against Hockey Chandigarh. Led by Dipti Lakra’s brace, Odisha’s offense remained relentless throughout the match, with multiple players finding the back of the net. The team’s cohesive effort and strategic gameplay ensured their second consecutive triumph in the championship.
Hockey Mizoram delivered a commanding performance in their Pool F clash against Hockey Rajasthan, securing a resounding 20-2 victory. Led by stellar performances from Lalremsiami and Lalrinpuii, who scored multiple goals each, Hockey Mizoram showcased their attacking prowess and secured a comprehensive win.
