Qatar’s Emir Recognized as Valuable Mediator by Austrian Chancellor
Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer acknowledged the significant role played by Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani as a valuable mediator in the Middle East.
The recognition came following a phone conversation between the two leaders, as reported on X.
Nehammer highlighted the Emir’s intensive efforts, emphasizing their importance in achieving a prolonged ceasefire in the Gaza conflict, securing the release of hostages, and enhancing humanitarian aid in the region.
The Austrian Chancellor expressed Austria’s commitment to engaging diplomatically to mitigate further escalations and alleviate human suffering, underscoring the importance of such efforts in fostering regional stability.
The Qatari Amiri Diwan also confirmed the phone conversation between the Emir and the Austrian Chancellor in a separate statement.
